Karen Sargent

Karen began her career in osteopathy and graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 1992. She practiced in Sussex and New Zealand for a few years, which allowed her to combine work with her passion for travel. After returning to the UK, Karen decided to pursue further education and earned a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Bristol. With this qualification, Karen was able to explore various health promotion roles, focusing on helping individuals adopt healthier lifestyles with an emphasis on weight management, nutrition, physical activity, and cardiac rehabilitation.

Karen’s life, like many others, was impacted by Covid-19, leading her to reflect on her career path. She realised her desire to return to hands-on therapy and pursued a combined level 3 and 4 Sports Massage qualification, which enabled her to acquire new skills. Karen takes a holistic approach to assist the musculoskeletal system by combining various massage techniques with her overall knowledge and experience in health and wellbeing.
